Virginia Senate Democratic Caucus
RICHMOND, V.A. – The Virginia Senate Democratic Caucus today announced the election of new leadership to fill key vacancies, naming Senator Lashrecse Aird as Vice Chair of the Caucus and Senator Kannan Srinivasan as Caucus Treasurer.
Senator Aird was elected by her colleagues to serve as Vice Chair, where she will help guide the caucus’s legislative strategy heading into the campaign season. In this role, she will help lead outreach efforts and support candidates as Democrats work to protect and expand their majority. Senator Aird has a track record of connecting policy priorities to the everyday concerns of Virginia families.
Senator Srinivasan will serve as Treasurer, helping to oversee the caucus’s financial operations and support efforts to protect and grow the Democratic majority. His background in government and public service brings a strategic and disciplined approach to the role.
