Protecting the right to vote

Just a few years ago, Virginia was ranked the second-hardest state to cast a ballot in. Since then, Virginia Democrats have passed a series of reforms to protect and expand the right to vote while safeguarding our elections. We believe that every eligible Virginian has the right to have their voice heard by participating in our elections, and that voting should be as easy, safe, and secure as possible. Recent attempts to undermine voting rights or election access have threatened our democracy, and Democrats are committed to investing in our election systems to defend against Republican attempts to attack our fair and free elections and protect and expand voter access.
